Habits, journal, reading progress and review cards are encrypted here with your passphrase, then saved to a private gist on your GitHub account. Nobody can read the gist without the passphrase, including GitHub.
Sync is on for this device. Changes upload a couple of seconds after you make them, and other devices' changes come in when you return to the tab.
